The Springfield Group

Kitchen extraction and ventilation for takeaways and fast food

Takeaway and quick service units usually have limited space, a cooking line that runs hard and neighbours close by. We manufacture the canopy and stainless steel at our Birmingham facility and install them alongside the extraction, odour control, electrical and control work, so the whole installation is handled by one team.

Fast food is where we have done the most work. We have fitted out more than 100 stores for Papa John's over ten years, and our clients include Domino's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Big John's, Pepe's Piri Piri and GDK. At Domino's in Caerphilly we installed the full extraction, carbon odour control, an acoustic fan with silencers and a heated air supply system in two days.

Chains need the same result in every store and minimal time closed. Independent takeaways need a system that satisfies the council at a sensible cost. We work with both.

What takeaway and fast food projects usually need

  • Stainless steel fabrication made to fit a small or awkward kitchen.
  • Canopies built around specific equipment, such as fryer sections and conveyor ovens.
  • Odour and noise control to satisfy neighbours and the council.
  • Gas interlocks and fan controls installed on the same visit.
  • Fast installation to keep closure time to a minimum.

FAQs

Common questions

How long does a takeaway extraction installation take?

It depends on the system and the site. As an example, we completed the full extraction, odour control and air supply installation for Domino's Pizza in Caerphilly in two days.

Will I need odour control for my takeaway?

Most takeaways near homes do. Requirements vary by council, so we design the system to meet the conditions your local authority sets.
